Long before formal training in culinary school, my Pennsylvania Dutch Grandmother, Annie B. Smith, taught me the value of cooking wholesome foods for family and friends. We at Morning Glories Restaurant hope to pass on the hospitality and love of good food enjoyed by generations at Grandma's table, my mother's table and now mine.
i've only been once. Tthe food was really good and there was some variety to the menu. However, we sat down quickly, but had to wait 30-45 minutes for our food once we ordered. Service was okay, nobody was rude, but it was a long wait, for breakfast.
I just went today with some good friends and had the best food! It's such a cute place, feels like a home away from home. The prices are reasonable and the food was delicious. I can't wait to go back.
I don't know about LA, but the food is well worth the wait. You tell me what restaurant on the weekend you can go to that does not have some sort of wait. I have never had to wait more than five or ten minutes for a table at Morning Glories but if we went anywhere else for breakfast or lunch on the weekends we sometimes had to wait 25-30 minutes. All I can say is there is always one bad apple in the bunch and Morning Glories has a big bunch of good apples in it :-)
Read all the comments on this restaurant and decided to check it out for breakfast. After waiting for 15 miniatures for a table (it was 1/2 empty but had no tables cleaned) we were seated and waited for another 10 minutes for someone to just show up. We had one person bring us drinks and finally a waitress came over to take our order. We waited another 45 min. to get 3 items; 1 french toast, 1 sandwich and a parfait! No explanations, no apologies. So much for friendly, caring service. As far as food goes, stick with what you know and don't waist your time, or your breakfast, on "Morning Glories". Total disappointment with service and food!
I live in Windermere, FL. and drive at least once a month to Avalon Park, FL to have breakfast at Morning Glories. The Owner is very friendly and comes around to make sure that everything is okay. The Blueberry Lemon Pancakes and Creme Brulee French Toast are my two favorite dishes.
Good service and great food! Can't wait to go again. The kids loved their pancakes and the waitress was nice enough to make smiley faces on them. I loved the biscuits and gravy and the coffee is also very good.
