The Torpdoes are a classic blues band. Their sound is equal to or better than those blues bands around the country. David Weaver is 1 of the best there is, and has played worldwide with big name groups.

I witnessed their performance at the IBC in Memphis as the the winner of The Orange County Blues Challange. They are one of the best bands I have ever heard in my 40 years as a blues musician. True Blues with an attitudde.....

I LOVE this group! The Smokin' Torps are one of the best blues bands around town. Every time they're at Harry's cigar & brew, I'm sittin in the audience cheerin, tappin my toes, dancin & shoutin' COLD BEER!!!! :) Jeff is a great guy & is always a pleasure to talk to during breaks. He & the rest of the band keep the audience entertained & satisfied... if they don't deserve #1 local band.. i don't know who does! come back to Harry's sooonnn!

Without a doubt one of the best around. The masters of Dynamics. Though the lineup may change as far as faces and names, the soul remains the same! Fired up and True Blue. Mr. Big Willey makes sure of that.

The Smokin' Torpedoes are consistently entertaining while keeping with blues traditions. Their lineup and versatility provides a depth of sound that no other local band can deliver. With four lead singers, their vocal range is unsurpassed. All the players in the band are instrumental virtuosos and play with improvisation and feel that totally connects with the audience. Most blues bands have the tired "world done me wrong" attitude, while the Torps are upbeat, sometimes funny, tongue-in-cheek, and hot as hell and did I mention ENTERTAINING? They mingle and socialize on their breaks and it's easy to tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. GO TORPS!
