This store goes so far beyond being just a resource for natural pet food! People think they can't afford human grade food for their pets, but Louise's quickly dispells that myth with a wide, WIDE variety of foods, treats and toys at every price point. Their selection of leashes, raw foods and holistic medications is second to none, from what I've observed, and I've travelled far and wide. When he was very young, my puppy had severe cratching problems that the vets couldn't resolve, try as we might. They said he was too young to have food allergies and recommended medication that didn't work. Within 1 week of starting the food recommended by Louise's owners, I had a dog that was displaying zero characteristics of what we found to be a reaction to the animal by-products and horrifying junk found in what I always thought to be the high-end food found in most stores. Patty and Stephanie have given us information about dog nutrition that even vets couldn't provide, and are always there to answer questions and provide resources for educating myself. I simply cannot say enough about these two women. They're more than owners of a natural pet market, they've become friends who I recommend at every opportunity....and Andy, my havanese, loves them, too!

When I say "Dog Day" my havanese, Andy, races for the leash and barks for me to hurry! We've been using Dog Day for day care and fairly frequent boarding for almost 4 years, both in Sanford and the original facility in Orlando. It's wonderful lto know that he's receiving outstanding care and attention in an environment where he gets to play all day instead of being locked into a run or cage. If anyone is looking for the next best place to home for their special doggie pals, Dog Day Afternoon is simply the best! (...and I'm watchcing Andy on the webcam as we speak).
